Jamestown, RI Project-Addition Complete Renovation 4,740 square feet.

Updated: Aug 31, 2020

THE CHALLENGE: This was a challenging Water-Front Project. We dealt with the Conservation Department's restrictions, and our approach to this project was to increase the main floor ceiling height by 3 feet and create an unobstructed view of the beautiful Narraganset Bay.

To create this open view, we had to bring a 26-foot Metal Beam to remove the entire living-room & dining-room wall facing the Bay.

The back of the house was changed and modernize to take advantage of its spectacular views, complete and complex remodeling was necessary.

Working closely with the homeowner, we redesigned the entire structure, raising the roof 3 feet to increase all ceilings throughout to a height of ten feet and adding a garage addition.

To maximize the footprint of the existing house, we knocked down many walls and reconfigured the layout to optimize the space.

One of the project's highlights was the creation of a 28-foot steel beam that allowed us to install a thin stainless steel frame and an expansive glass wall that opened up an unobstructed waterfront view.

We created a unique system of tray ceilings with LED lights installed in the living room, kitchen, and master bedroom to complete the stylish and modern transformation.
